Connect For Clients Social Club

Many adults with intellectual disabilities leave the school system and their only source of social connections– their peers when graduating. Upon entering the adult world of work, it can be difficult to form meaningful friendships to participate in outings such as movies, social events and recreational activities. Connect for Clients was established to meet this social need and to make connections and friendships!

History of the Social Club

Connect for Clients was founded by two clients that were interested in bringing friends together for the purposes of creating fun and affordable social opportunities. It has grown over the years and is now a very active and successful group run by volunteers.

Social Events

Come out and have fun with our social group that meets at least once a month in various activities ranging from floor hockey, karaoke, to boat cruises and Goldeyes games. A wide variety of activities are considered, to include both leisure and recreational events. If you have an idea, we’d love to hear it!

Watch for the upcoming events and be sure to check them out! It’s a lot of fun and a great way to keep in touch with friends and make new friends!

Volunteers

The social club is run by volunteer organizers who plan the events for the year. There is a fee to cover costs for the events and every effort is made to keep the costs down to a bare minimum so that everyone can participate.

To facilitate everyone's participation, enjoyment and safety, we ask that clients have an attendant (parent, sibling, worker, cousin, friend, etc) available to them at each event.  Please contact us before dropping off your social group member.  Please remember that we are volunteers providing the event and are unable to supervise or assist each client's individual unique needs.  Thank you for your understanding.
